Using your add-on Calling Features.
• Using Caller ID - Simply
wait for the start of the second full ring and the
number of the calling party will appear on your call
display unit or telephone display. A Caller ID box
or a telephone with Caller ID function is necessary
to show the number and name identification.
• Using Call Waiting - While
on a call, you will be alerted with a tone pattern
that you have an incoming call. Ask the party you
are speaking with to hold while you take the other
call. Quickly press and release the switchhook. You
are now connected to the second party and can switch
back and forth between calls using the switchhook
until you or one of the other parties hangs up.

End the conversation with the first party. Press
the switchhook for more than one second or hang up.
If you hang up the telephone, you will hear ringing
indicating you have another call.
• Using Call Forwarding -
Lift the receiver and listen for a dial tone. Dial
*72. Listen for a dial tone. Dial the telephone number
to which you want calls forwarded to. If the line
is busy, or there’s no answer, hang up. Then
within two minutes repeat the steps above.
• 3-Way Calling – When
you’re talking with someone, you can add a
third person to the call. To use this feature, press
and quickly release the switchhook to place the first
person on hold. Listen for the dial tone. Dial the
third person’s phone number. When the third
person answers, you press the switchhook and can
now talk to both people at the same time.
• Using Voice Mail – T
o access the voice mail service dial, your prefix
(first three numbers of your local phone number)
plus 6245 (MAIL). For example, if your phone number
is 721-2222 you would dial 721-6245. The first time
you access your mail box it will ask you to change
your password. You will be prompted to enter your
temporary password, which is 1234. Now follow the
directions to change password and personal greeting
if calling from home. Passwords should represent
numbers that are easy for you to remember but difficult
for others to guess. If you are not calling from
home, you will dial your prefix (first three numbers
of your local phone number) plus 6245. Next you will
be prompted to enter your mailbox; this is your home
phone number. You will need to press “#” enter
your seven digit phone number, then your password.
If you have a voice mail waiting, you will notice
a “sutter” tone when you pick up the
phone before getting a dial tone. After you listen
to each message, you may press 7 to erase the message,
press 9 to save the message for up to 30 days, or
press 4 to replay the message. |
